About Katrina Curtain
Introducing Katrina Curtain, an experienced Occupational Therapist with extensive expertise in medico-legal assessments. Katrina serves as the Principal Occupational Therapist and Owner of OT Rehab Solutions, a provider of community-based rehabilitation services in Sydney, NSW, alongside independent medico-legal assessments and reporting Australia-wide.
With over 23 years of occupational therapy experience and 16 years of medico-legal expertise, Katrina has held key positions across various healthcare settings, demonstrating her commitment to delivering high-quality occupational therapy services. Prior to establishing OT Rehab Solutions, Katrina served as the NSW Clinical Operations Manager and Senior Occupational Therapist at Everyday Independence, where she played an important role in managing clinical operations and offering senior occupational therapy services.
Katrina’s experience also includes serving as Lead Occupational Therapist at Sunshine Coast Private Hospital in Queensland, Senior Neurological Occupational Therapist at Lady Davidson Private Hospital and Senior Occupational Therapist at Australian Rehab Works. These roles further developed her expertise in neurological rehabilitation, complex clinical presentations, case management and care and support needs assessments.
Katrina has a strong background in supervising and supporting occupational therapists, supporting their professional development and the delivery of high-quality clinical practice. Katrina has also worked internationally as a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Acute Stroke Unit at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, UK, gaining valuable experience in acute neurological rehabilitation.
Her broader clinical experience encompasses orthopaedics, amputations, chronic pain, palliative care and general medicine, as well as case management within CTP and iCare schemes. Katrina is also a SIRA-accredited Occupational Therapist.
In her medico-legal practice, Katrina provides thorough, evidence-based assessments and clear, objective reports examining the impact of injury, illness and disability on an individual’s functional capacity and support needs. Her medico-legal practice also includes participation in conclaves and experience providing expert evidence in court.
